Supporting men and women living with type 2 diabetes.
Renew Birmingham will host a 10-week course, hosted by MedsPLUS, designed to provide education and resources that will help those who are living with type 2 diabetes. If you or someone you know has type 2 diabetes, this is an opportunity to gain valuable information and learn how to live a healthier life!
Participants will participate in a 5-week cohort and receive instruction in the A.C.E. curriculum from a Lawson State Community College instructor, qualifying them to receive 1 college credit at any community college in Alabama. Upon completing the program, participants will receive the Alabama Career Readiness Certificate, and have the opportunity to go to begin careers at one of Ready To Work’s employer partners.

Renew Birmingham, in partnership with the Ensley Business Alliance and the City of Birmingham, invites residents from across the city to the 2nd Annual Cookout & Car Show on Saturday, August 9 from 3 to 7 PM at Downtown Ensley (Across from Cottons).
This FREE community event brings together fun, fellowship, and valuable resources in one unforgettable afternoon. More than just an event, the Cookout & Car Show is part of a broader community awareness effort, highlighting services and organizations that help strengthen Birmingham’s neighborhoods.
